Foundation Degree in Volunteering We are happy to announce that the Foundation Degree in Volunteering was successfully validated by Canterbury Christ Church Unviversity on June 2nd 2011. Capacity Building for the Voluntary Sector We are also pleased to announce a number of events for the Voluntary Sector, again, we have been working in conjunction with Christ Church University to put these on.

CDCA Mission
The Canterbury District Community Alliance (CDCA) works to support local voluntary organisations and community groups by:- Supplying the sector with relevant information
- Offering the chance to meet and exchange ideas
- Highlighting issues which impact on the sector
- Promoting partnership working and sharing good practice and
- Representing your views to statutory organisations
- Regular General Meetings are held at venues across the district.
- Speakers are invited, for instance, from local authorities, regional government and grant-making bodies.
- In between meetings a small Executive Committee carries the work forward.
- Our members work on local committees, e.g. The Compact, Local Strategic Partnership and The Community Health and Well-being sub-group (CHEWB)
- Attend our General Meetings.
- Join our Management Committee or one of our working groups.
- Advise us about issues of concern so that we can address them.
